GrandBackup

Task Properties: Advanced - Event Alerts

Use this subsection to control GrandBackup behavior when various events occur. For example, you can select the sound that will be played when a backup Task is started or completed or a critical error occurs, etc...

You can personalize alerting messages and sounds for each of the three possible ways of executing a Task:
       1) Scheduled Task Run - for Tasks run automatically using GrandBackup Internal Scheduler;
       2) Manual Task Run - for Tasks run manually by pressing the Run button on the toolbar or the "Enter" key;
       3) Application Silent Mode - a special command-line mode started by the command ôgrandbackup.exe /silentö; this may come in handy if you wish to run a Task automatically using MS Windows Task Scheduler and utilize GrandBackup event alerts.

You can select individual alert settings for the following events:
        Task started - this event is triggered by every Task startup.
        File processing - every file operation (copy, move, etc.).
        Disk Spanning (Disk full) - this event takes place if there is no free space, allowing you to insert the next disk. This event will only be triggered if Destination is a removable media device, in the case of a fixed disk an Error event will be triggered.
        Critical Error - every Task error message.
        Warning - every Task warning message.
        Task Completed - triggered when a Task is done.

You can use the following notification types:
        Show message dialog
        Show balloon message in system tray
        Play sound
         Send email to (except for File processing)
